Does God eat the Naivedyam offered

A query as to whether God eats the naivedyam offered is going round and round Many say the God takes in the sookshma part and all
My understanding on the issue
Perceptions vary on this issue.
Many agama and Tantra texts prescribe strict combinations and quantities of naivedyam according to the potency, size of the idol the nature of pratishta and so on
Even medicinal preparations are offered to the deity on various occasions to counter indigestion etc.
So according to shastras Gods actually eat the food.
The question as to whether God eats the food was actually raised to a tantri by a South Kerala ruler.
The tantri asked the king to be present at the time of naivedyam.
Huge quantities of food were arrayed before the deity.
The tantri, while doing parishechanam included the king also in the circle made by holy water which covered the deity and the naivedyam.
By the time " praanaaya swaahaa" was offered the king started feeling full inside..
And by the time "Apaanaaya swaahaa "was offered the king had reached a point of bursting with food.
The story goes on that the king apologized and was taken out of the circuit and saved
If the worship is genuine and sincere and the upasana is good enough God will eat what we offer.
Now we are powerless and so the God does not eat. That is all
In chandika homam and Ganapathy Homam there are experiences where the Divine mother and Ganapathy manifesting in fire and accepting food, flowers and clothes and ornaments offered.
