the summer rains are playing truant.  the atmospheric temperature is
soaring and cooling mechanisms like ACs etc are becoming ineffective.
In olden days at least in agraharams there was a practice.  If the
rains dont come, people simply carry water from far off ponds or dried
rivers or from whatever source and just make a beeling to the nearest
siva temple, there to pour the precious water with chanting of
sreerudram on the Sivalingam... evidence is that for each drop of
water fallen on the head of Sambhu. the heaven pours in millions of
tonnes of water. Om Namo Bagavathey rudraya.  Let us even at home do
little cooling abhishekam on siva and see...
