meditation

After completing all the puranas and monumental works Krishnadwaipaayana the Vyasa came to the conclusion
आलोड्य सर्वशास्त्राणि विचार्य च पुनः पुनः
इदमेकं सुनिष्पन्नं ध्येयो नस्रायणो हरिः
āloḍya sarvaśāstrāṇi vicārya ca punaḥ punaḥ
idamekaṁ suniṣpannaṁ dhyeyo nasrāyaṇo hariḥ
after going through all spiritual texts and after repeated contemplation only this much can be concluded without dispute... one has to meditate upon Narayana the Hari..
It says everything. Substitute any name in the place of Narayana the Hari, because we worship Him as having infinite number of names ( सहस्रनाम्ने पुरुषाय शाश्वते
sahasranāmne puruṣāya śāśvate-- here sahasra does not indicate a thousand but the uncountable).
If we start perceiving finite things in the infinite, it is an indication that our mind goes astray. The finite should be annihilated from the mind. That may be the killing.. the finite finally merging with the infinite.
Meditation has no religion or creed. So also the Universal Master.
