Every prudent human being would love to keep apart a portion of whatever he earns or possesses or inherits as savings for future use.. The normal consideration for such saving options are safety, liquidity and ease of recovery..
The author of Hitopadesha says that, among all types of possessions of value, the best is knowledge and education.. Education is safe to possess, its value is too high for evaluation, and it can never perish

The meaning of the couplet is

Of all the materials worth possessing, it can be said without doubt that education is the best one
That is because of its eternal qualities that knowledge cannot be robbed or taken away from us by force, that its value is always high, the value of knowledge is so high that it can be termed as priceless and could bring in all benefits with ease whenever it is applied, and that education or knowledge cannot ever be destroyed.
