We are trying to look at the infinite being without origin and end and the middle just from the perspective of some scriptures.
Moreover, the life span of such scriptures, even if they are the revered Vedas, are too meagre in comparison to the epoch of human existence on this earth and even more minuscule in comparison with the time span where the universe existed almost in the present shape.
Things did not happen according to the planning and programming effected by the created beings, and we will never be able to find any plan or programming for ourselves all by ourselves.
Of course, all we can do is to make an effort at maintaining the equilibrium, and even in that attempt; we are pathetically out-powered and awed.
The Vedas said.. Vyashema Devahitam yad aayuH व्यशेम देवहितं यदायुः. Let us spend our lives just according to the will of the Devas.( this statement is found in all the four Vedas and also in numerous Upanishads).
In fact, wherever living beings tried to invent unconventional methods, it has only led to destruction.
The aftermath of unleashing of nuclear energy on the one hand and the occupational diseases like diabetes, epidemics like AIDs - are all the result of such adventures on the part of the living created beings.
This process is actually, what we call glani for Dharma and abhyuththaanam of Adharma perhaps as stated by the Blessed Lord in Gita-and in these matters, we are forcing His hands by our stubbornness.
If wecallenge the rhythm maintained by Him and things get out of control for humans, He has no choice other than jettisoning us.
"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya Glanir Bhavathi Bharatha,
Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'.
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत ।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥
Bhagavad Gita (Chapter IV-7)
