अर्थनाशं मनस्तापं गृहे दुश्चरितानि च।
मानंचैवापमानंच मतिमान्न प्रकाशयेत्॥
॥चाणक्यराजनीत्यां॥
arthanāśaṁ manastāpaṁ gṛhe duścaritāni ca|
mānaṁcaivāapamānaṁca matimānna prakāśayet||
|hāṇakyarājanītyāṁ||
A wise man should never reveal to others his personal loss
of wealth, his personal sorrows, the unsavoury happenings in his own home, and
the praise or slighting suffered at the hands of others.
