In the prevailing social environs, situation has landed up Sita in a position where the public opinion about the requisite standards of the queen would be challenged..
There, whatever may be his perspectives as a layman, Rama had to take Sita through the ordeal to prove the legitimacy.. People have to consider the issue in the backdrop of the social, moral, and even legal parameters obtaining in that period..
One simple question, before passing judgment on Rama and Sita, how many have read Valmikiramayanam at least once?
Or have studied at least parts of Dharmasatras as relevant in those days
Remember, Ramayanam and Rama were not created just for a media trial..
It is not of much value what a handful of people here think of Rama or the social conditions of his era..
Would have been nice reading at least if such views are based on some devoted study on the subjects.. "According to me"," in my opinion" etc can be marketed only in Facebook etc.
