On just having a wide collection of quotes from Sanskrit literature

On just having a wide collection of quotes from Sanskrit literature

it is not very important that we have the collections..
We can get almost anything from the web today..
Age and that curious love for language counts a lot..
We just encounter many quotes in our lives.. and in the environs we live..

I remember being a very active listener to the puranic discourses of legendary stature.. like Sengalipuram Anantharama Dikshitar, Shukabrahmam, Embaar, Majakkudi, SRD Sastrigal,, the list is so long..It was actually when I was between seven and twelve years of age.. I would tag on to father and uncles as they went to listen to the discourses walking miles..... And in Palakkad we had a lot of discourses in Kalpathi Kundu, Vadakkanthara, Noorani and so on..

we have only their third or fourth generation in operation today..

The persons mentioned are all in Sanskrit Tamil line..
There were erudite Harkatha exponents in all languages..who would present the Puranic Slokas in Sanskrit and then explain them for days..

Of course their primary background was bhakthi.. but they made us love Sanskrit too along with Rama and Krishna..
I remember Brahmsari U Ve Santhanagopala Acharyar Swami who would explain the meaning of Kausalya Supraja Rama... from Valmikiramayanam for three nights.. spread over six hours..
I was in my pre teen at that stage..
And the love for the phonetic and aesthetic beauty kindled by the religious literature makes one remember things for ever..

Some memories which might not leave us even if the physical body goes away..
Yes, Sanskrit, removed of spirituality is simply nothing..
