Even the most sensible and peace loving persons lose at least a part of their good sense when they assemble as a mob.. or groups or association.. whatever you call it..
People who would profess tolerance and friendship at individual level tend to justify destructive actions when such actions are perpetrated by themselves as a part of a group or in the name of a group.
Even the most honest officers and authorities do not mind canvassing funds from persons with whom they have dealings even where conflict of interest is involved, if such campaign is for some union or association or festival committee, of which they are also members..
Balance of mind and balance of vision are difficult to obtain and maintain..
And when in a group, such qualities faithfully cultivated they are, just evaporate and human beings tend to act or behave like the old savages they were..
The vestigial tendencies raise their heads when given even a slender chance..
