cāṇakya nīti

One should not try to wake up the following seven while they are asleep.  A snake, a king, a lion, an old man, a child, a dog belonging to others, and an idiot.

A snake disturbed will bite, the king can get angry and kill, the lion aroused may make a supper out of us , the old man gets sleep rarely and if woken up can get angry, sick or nasty with unpleasant consequences, a child disturbed while sleeping will start crying and will it not be better that and idiot is  left sleeping so that he can do no harm?
