a repetition on mother, but who can resist it?

भूप्रदक्षिण षट्केन काशीयात्रायुतेन वा।
सेतुस्नानशतैर्यच्च तत्फलं मातृवन्दनात्॥
सुभषितशतकत्रयं
bhūpradakṣiṇa ṣaṭkena kāśīyātrāyutena vā|
setusnānaśatairyacca tatphalaṁ mātṛvandanāt||
subhaṣitaśatakatrayaṁ

ഭുപ്രദക്ഷിണഷട്ട്കേന കാശിയാത്രായുതേന വാ

സേതുസ്നാനശതയ്ര്‍യച്ച തത്ഫലം മാതൃവന്ദനാത്

The punyas which one can gain by going around the entire eatth in pradakshina, or by visiting the holy city of Kaashi ten thousand times or by taking bath in the ramasethu ghatta thousands of times  can be easily earned by a person who will respectfully offers his pranams to his mother.

True, all philosophers of east and west, all followers of many "isms" and theories,  would find themselves stranded miles short when they venture to define the phenomenon called mother.  It is noble femininity at its sublimest.  Nothing in this world or in other places known or unknown can find us a greater acquisition that our own mothers.. It is not without thought that we compare our land with mother, the holy cow with mother, the goddess with mother...but mother can be a standard for comparison for many others things, but what is the yardstick for measuring the greatness of motherhood.
Even a late middleaged fellow like me who is already doddering,  possess the greatest treasure I can have, my mother a widowed lady of more than eight, short of hearing, having no teeth nor any appetite mostly sitting on a remote corner of the house without care for anything except her children and  grandchildren..what a phenomenon..she will spring into action the moment she sees a cloud of disturbance on the face of any of us.  This must be true for every one living on this earth.
