a prayer to Sri Hanuman for safety in travel and also nice sleep

The Ramayana Month Starts. The greatest devotee of Ramayana. the gem in the big garland of Ramayana, Sri Hanuman may bless us.

hanumān añjanāsūnuḥ vāyuputro mahābalaḥ
rāmeṣṭaḥ phalgunasakhaḥ piṅgākṣo'mitavikramaḥ
udadhikramaṇaścaiva sītāśoka vināśakṛt
lakṣmaṇaprāṇadātā ca daśagrīvasya darpahā
dvādaśaitāni nāmāni kapīndrasya mahātmanaḥ
svāpakāle japennityaṁ  yātrākāle viśeṣataḥ
tasya mṛtyubhayaṁ nāsti sarvatra vijayī bhavet|

He is Hanumaan, He is the son of Anjanaa devi,  he is the son of  the wind god,  he is supremely powerful, he is the darling of Sri Rama, H is the friend (occupying the flagstaff) of Arjuna, His eyes are copper-red, His valour is limitless, He has jumped over in a single lap the ocean of hundred yojana width, He is the destroyer of the sorrows of  Maatha Seetha,  He caused the rejuvenation to life  of Lakshmana by bringing the Sanjeevini mountain, He annihilated the arrogance of the ten headed Ravana..  If these twelve names of the Lord of Monkeys are chanted with respect   when one starts on a journey or when he is retiring to sleep, that person  will be victorious everywhere and the fear of death in not for him.
