musings 171

Despite tall claims to the contrary, exact knowledge of our body functions and the diseases in general groups as well as in individual cases, is quite limited..
No system appears to have reached any semblance of exactness even to ten or twenty percent..
Every system would make vocal claims through flowery language about their own perfection in diagnosis, and would shout aloud about the defects of other systems..
In fact we humans survive most of the maladies because the resilience of our system is wonderful..
Given some time the system repairs itself in the best way even in the worst cases.. and when repair is not possible the system just dies either individually or ..
Practicing medicine is a profession, just like being a lawyer or an accountant or a sorcerer astrologer or a purohita, or an actor or singer.. and so on..
Has anyone found complete efficiency and straightforwardness in any profession..?
this applies to medicine too..
People might have discovered diabetes a few hundred years ago.. but the malady was there right from the moment cells and genes combined into sperms and eggs and formed foetus. and were born as humans...
And humans have survived, say, for millions of years, without knowing that such a malady is in existence..
This would apply to all diseases, almost all diseases..
excepting perhaps addiction to social media through www..
because such media was not there ..
