The atma is neither a brahmin, nor a non brahmin, not a HIndu, Christian Muslim or Sikh or Communist

You said, brahmins or dvijas should chant Gayatri and others the Hare Krishna mantram to achieve righ orientation. I agree that chanting Gayatri Mantram is great..great for all. I do not know whether caste, creed or community really would matter. The atma is neither a brahmin, nor a non brahmin, not a HIndu, Christian Muslim or Sikh or Communist.

Remember also that Gayatri or Hare Krishna mantram will not come naturally to all.. The jeevan should have already been programmed and oriented spiritually... If you think you are free to do good or bad, you are not exactly right.. The accumulated Karma, paapam etc cloud the process. If you are earnest and you feel that you should chant divine name etc even in spite of the negative forces working in you and are holding you back, it means that you are in the path of recovery or you are correcting your path in the journey towards blessedness. But normally the forces of Karma are very strong and will bind you and drag you with a strength which you may not be able to resist and overcome..
So neither you, nor me are going to escape just by quoting rules, by stating what we should do..
We have to force ourselves and catapult ourselves in the right path.. Maybe once we gain some momentum, our journey may be smooth.
It is not Gayatri mantram or the Hare Krishna mantram that is important.. the spirit behind such mantram.. Any word, phrase or sound can be a mantram if our minds can try to identify ourselves with the supreme one when we utter these words.
