unity in diversity

The glory of Hinduism, and the reason for the criticism it receives at the same time, is the apparent contradictions about paths we have to tread.
The keen observer and the realist seeker says that life and incidents therein  are regualted or happen only by the operation of the theory of Karma- the strict rule that good begets good and evil leads to more evil.
However, the romantic visionary of the Bhakthi Yoga would say that when one just merges himself with the Supreme, offering to the Lord all the good and bad, then the results of Karma get burned out and the seeker becomes supremely happy.- and emancipated..
And there are many schools of thoughts and philosophy in Hinduism that are nearer to Karma or Bhakthi
Some Religions go to great extents to patch up such heterodoxy.  But Hinduism does not mind that contradiction at all.
In fact, Hinduism just thrives on such a wide-spectrum of philosophy
Something like a big buffet dinner hall where myriad varieties of food are served..
Every guest can fill his plates with foods and condiments that appeal to his palate..
But he will not  and need not  question why the man sitting near him has partiality for a different sort of food..
