कृशाय कृतविद्याय वृत्तिहीनाय सीदते।
अपहन्यात् क्षुधां यस्तु न तेन पुरुषः समः॥

kṛśāya kṛtavidyāya vṛttihīnāya sīdate|
apahanyāt kṣudhāṁ yastu na tena puruṣaḥ samaḥ||
mahābhārate ānuśāsikaparvaṇi 56-11
A very worthy call from the epic Mahabharatam
A person who makes an earnest attempt
to remove the hunger suffered by
a fellow human being
who is weak and emaciated,
who is educated,
who is without work that would enable him to earn a livelihood, who is in physical and mental distress and is mourning,
is without equal in this world..
It is air, water and food.. that keeps away the living beings from death.. Nature provides chances as best as it can to the living beings to satisfy these essential needs.. But many living beings interfere with the existence of others through selfishness, cruelty and other factors.. After all, the best thing that a man can do for his fellow human being is to provide the ultimate means of livelihood.. the food..
A spiritual person, a believer, an atheist... all would agree on this issue..
Regards..
