शब्दशास्त्रं अनधीत्य यः पुमान् वक्तुमिच्छति सभान्तरे।
रोद्धुमिछति वने मदोत्कटं हस्तिनं कमलनाळतन्तुना॥
śabdaśāstram anadhītya yaḥ pumān vaktumicchati sabhāntare|
roddhumicccati vane madotkaṭam hastinam kamalanāḻatantunā||
If a person is attempting to make speeches in open assemblies and forums without learning the rules of grammar, etymology, phonetics and so on, it has to be said that he is trying to defend himself by brandishing a tender stem of lotus plant to escape himself from the attack of a wild elephant having a bout of rut
Study of anything is not easy..
But abiding interest and dedication and capacity to persevere can shape anyone into a learned scholar..
