To tell the truth on someone else's face is not at all easy..

The greatest difficulty is when any friend assumes that I am on his side on a particular issue..

I never take sides..

Sometimes in matters relating to scriptures especially, I would quote extensively from books I have read..

This often gives and impression that I am a hawkish follower of Hinduism and Brahminism.

But I cannot stand any obscurantist and fanatic ideas..

Often some hawkish friends who are blind followers of procedures and rituals and just develop their loyalty on the basis of some preachers or upanyasakara or modern man gods tag me too to their schools of thought..

In such cases the question of loyalty to a friend and loyalty to my independent faith would pull me in opposite directions..

I will yield only to my conviction but the process gives a lot of pain.. I have lost some good and earnest friends in this process.
