The leading scholar in the Royal court was praising the benefits of magnanimity.
"You should divide all that you get equally between all those who are dear to you."
" Don't you agree?" He was asking the courtiers.
Stingy as they were, the other scholars could not see eye to eye with their colleague in this matter.
However Mulla Naziruddin interjected
" I do agree with you wholeheartedly. I divide all that I get equally between my donkey and my wife "
"Nice, so what is the result?" asked the courtiers.
" I have ended up with a healthy donkey and a nasty wife " , said Mulla.
