अतिभीषण कटुभाषण यमकिङ्करपटली कृतताडन परिपीडनमरणागमसमये।
उमया सह मम चेतसि यमशासन निवसन् हरशङ्कर शिवशङ्कर हर मे हर दुरितं॥
atibhīṣaṇa kaṭubhāṣaṇa yamakiṅkarapaṭalī kṛtatāḍana paripīḍanamaraṇāgamasamaye|
umayā saha mama cetasi yamaśāsana nivasan haraśaṅkara śivaśaṅkara hara me hara duritaṁ||
അതിഭീഷണ കടുഭാഷണ യമകിങ്കര പടലീ കൃത താഡന പരിപീഡന മരണാഗമ സമയേ
ഉമയാ സഹ മമ ചേതസി യമശാസന നിവസന് ഹര ശങ്കര ശിവ ശങ്കര ഹര മേ ഹര ദുരിതം
May the Supreme Lord of Lords, Shankara, Hara Shankara, Siva Shankara, who holds supreme authority over the God of death Yama, be pleased to annihillate the effects of all my sinful deeds and elevate me to the His presence at the moment when the gory looking, foul talking and threatful henchmen of Yama approach me to take away my life with whipllashes and torture... May His Supreme Grace in the blessed company of that daughter of Himavan, Uma, be manifest in the lotus of my heart at the moment when my life leaves this body..
