अवश्यं भाविनो भावा भवन्ति महताम् अपि ।
नग्नत्वं नीलकण्ठस्य महाहिशयनं हरेः ॥२८॥

avaśyaṃ bhāvino bhāvā bhavanti mahatām api ।
nagnatvaṃ nīlakaṇṭhasya mahāhiśayanaṃ hareḥ ॥28॥
Even in matters pertaining to the strongest and most influential people, something that is destined to happen will surely happen. It cannot be otherwise. It cannot be prevented. See, Lord Shiva the Neelakanta, in spite of being the all powerful God, had to just to wander and dance in the open stark naked. Lord Hari the Vishnu, an equally powerful God has to be satisfied with having a bed made of the curling body of a snake, floating in the milky ocean.
( There is a famous story that Lord Shiva once severed off the head of Brahma and to atone for that sin he had to assume the form of a naked beggar, wandering all around carrying a bowl made of skull, canvassing alms.. It is also famous that Lord Vishnu sleeps in Yoganidra atop the curling body of the snake Anantha or Adisesha floating in the Milky ocean
महतां great people, people with power and influenceअपि too भाविनः what is destined to happen भावाः things भवन्ति happen. यथा in the manner of नीलकण्ठस्य of the blud necked Shiva नग्नत्वं nakedness हरेःof Hari the Vishnu महाहिशयनं sleeping atop a huge snake च too
അവശ്യം ഭാവിനോ ഭാവാ ഭവന്തി മഹതാം അപി ।

എത്ര പ്രതാപവും ആജ്ഞാശക്തിയും ഉള്ള മഹാന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ആയാല് പോലും എന്തെങ്കിലും ദുരവസ്ഥയോ ദൌര്ഭാഗ്യമോ സംഭവിക്കണം എന്നാണു വിധിയുടെ നിശ്ചയം എന്നുണ്ടെങ്കില് അത് സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കും. അത്തരം സംഭവങ്ങള് ഇല്ലാതാക്കാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയില്ല. നോക്കൂ, സര്വശക്തനായ നീലകണ്ഠനായ ഭഗവാന് ശിവന് വസ്ത്രമൊന്നും ധരിക്കാതെ ആടിപ്പാടിക്കൊണ്ട് ഭിക്ഷയെടുക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ അതിശക്തനായ ഭഗവാന് ഹരി ചുരുണ്ടുകിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു പാമ്പിനെ കിടക്കയാക്കി അതിനു മുകളില് ഉറങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്നു.
(അതിക്രുദ്ധനായി ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് നുള്ളിയെടുത്ത ശിവന് ബ്രഹ്മഹത്യാ പാപം ബാധിച്ച് അതില് നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടാന് വേണ്ടി കപാലം കൊണ്ടുള്ള പിച്ചചട്ടിയും ഏന്തി നഗ്നനായി ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ച കഥ ഒട്ടേറെ പുരാണങ്ങളില് കാണാം. ഭഗവാന് ഹരിയാകട്ടെ പാല്ക്കടലില് യോഗനിദ്രയില് കിടക്കുന്നത് ആയിരം തലയുള്ള സര്പ്പവര്യനായ അനന്തന് എന്ന ആദിശേഷന്റെ ചുരുണ്ടുകിടക്കുന്ന ശരീരം കിടക്കയാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടാണ്. )
