A tiny seed of a peepul tree just sprouts and grows into a huge tree. If it cannot grow, it just perishes from the root. There will never be a process which would persuade its growth as a mediocre or dwarfish plant. People of great class too are like that. They may start from a state of near-nothingness and would attain great heights. If they face challenges, they may fight it out and grow in stature. Quite possibly they may perish in that process too. But they will never think of mediocre existence.

One should deploy a person for a particular mission only that person is suited for that assignment because of his efficiency and attitude.
Even the best among people who have read and studied a lot could stand dumb-folded and powerless if they are suddenly exposed to situations not suited to their tastes and capacities.
Even a great man in the wrong place would look clumsy

even a dull headed can be taught sciences but sublime poet is born rarely

Any person, even a person of very ordinary intellect, perhaps even a dull headed fellow would be able to learn sciences and such subjects if he is trained and taught with lot of effort by an efficient teacher. However, sublime poetry is born rarely, that too poetry is created only by a person who is endowed with extraordinary genius.

This is the view of Bhamaha, the great theoretician on poetics.

bondage between true friends should like between mud and water

The deep affection and bondage that should be developed between true friends should like what happens between mud and water. When the mud is soaked in water, the mixture remains so supple and big. However, when the lump of mud soaked in water is exposed to sunlight and the sun evaporates the water, then the lump of mud just get shattered into dust.

Here the two friends are so close and are completely devoted to one another that when one becomes weak the other just withers away.

The ocean has been churned, and is being churned
The ocean has been crossed over and is being crossed over by many
The ocean has been stopped and bound by a dam, and such dams are built again and agai
The ocean has been drunk in full, and the waters are being consumed and pumped off by many for various purposes
However, in spite of all the difficulties and hardships faced, the ocean never ceases to roar exhibiting its immense strength.
Only those who have lost all powers and alertness of the mind would stand silently without any show of emotions..

The most famous episode of churning the ocean is the Amrutha Mathanam
The most valorous crossing of the ocean was by Lord Anjaneya
Rama, Sugriva and the Vanara Army built a dam over the ocean.. and E Shridharan Sir presided over building of Pamban Bridge
Sage Agastya just took the entire ocean on his palm and drank it
However the ocean is alive and kicking, and roars in grandeur.

The individual can never live well either by conquering something or submitting to something

Conquer yourself instead of trying to conquer others..
This advise is handed out to us by men of wisdom.
Yes, the idea is good
But my thoughts on the subject

"The individual can never live well either by conquering something or submitting to something or capitulating.
If you conquer someone that person or thing would be biding for time to hit back.
If you submit to someone else your inner being will be accusing you for ever.
In either case there will no peace nor would be good life.
If you just gel or mix with the external situation harmoniously both you and all that is outside you would work together happily.
This is the nature works normally.
When this harmony and equilibrium are disturbed the result is utter chaos"

pollution with literary garbage

A fellow who considers himself an expert in English usage was generating many odd write-ups and some odd fellows persistently bombarded me with forwards of such literary trash that deserved eternal stay in waste bins. Added to this, some chamchas in groups were praising this work as heavenly.
Out of civility, I tried to put up with the spread of such garbage for some time. However, the proliferation cannot go on forever. This is my rejoinder to the groups. Just sharing.

You should present Posts and articles in form and style that others who read them could grasp with ease and comfort.
Someone compared the author of that post with Shashi Tharoor.
That is utter nonsense.
Peak of foolishness.

The person who made the comparison has no idea either of chaste English or of the literary craft of Tharoor.

Tharoor uses many relatively rare words and his craft is somewhat ornate or decorative.
However, every word, sentence or paragraph he presents would be perfect in grammar and faultless in presentation.
A treat to the lover of English language.

I have with me almost the full collection of Tharoor’ s works and I have managed to read most of them at least in part.
I have great admiration for his style and workmanship in spite of the fact that I do not like either his politics or flamboyant lifestyle.

In fact, one should have a lot of knowledge in basics of English language and a lot more of patience too to read and understand good books and good writing (including those written by Tharoor.)
It is even more difficult to read works of Nehru, Radhakrishnan, Russel, Thomas Hardy etc., not to speak of works of the likes of Samuel Johnson.
Nevertheless, they have invariably adopted perfect craft.
Where does the madcap who posted the crap and his chamchas stand in comparison to those connoisseurs?
Absurdity and idiocy cannot flow and should not flow in unlimited and uncontrollable torrents.
