Sharada Sharadaamboja vadanaa vadanaambuje sarvadaa sarvadaa asmaakam sannidhim sannidhim kriyaat
May Her Divine Grace Matha Shaarada, whose face shines like a lotus bloomin in Sharat season, be pleased to make her exalted abode in the lotus of our faces and tongues the mother who would give us everything and may Her Merciful Grace be pleased to make our places fit to live in by Her exalted company for ever .
May the Mother of Muses Devi Saraswathi,be pleased to shower Her Merciful Grace on all of us on Her day in Navaratri..

ReplyDeletesomeone had asked about the source of this slokam. It appears to be a common prayer. However Mallinathaq Suri starts his commentary on the fourth canto of Raghuvamsha Mahakavyam with this prayer. It is possible that this may have been written y that commentator. No evidence to attribute this to Kalidasa himself
