Srisooktham occurs in the Khila portion of Rigveda.. Khila means sort of addition or interpolation.. So we cannot easily fix the date of origin of this particular mantram.. Sir.
That apart, in Srisooktham, the mantra is dhavala tharaamshuka gandha maalye..
and in Kanakadhara stotram it dhavalathama amshuka gandha malye
And many mantrams from Vedas including Savitri or Gayatri are used by many other poets and seekers in their own hymns..
So Shankara might have used this one particular vedic mantra in a slightly altered form in his prayer to the same goddess.
Some Vedic mantras from sookthams appearing in later hymns is not an isolated incident unique to Kanakadharastotram.
