यदम्बुकणमादाय प्राप्नोसि जलदोन्नतिम्।
तस्योपर्यंबुधेः गर्जन् मालिन्यस्योचितं हि तत्॥
सुभाषितम्॥
yadambukaṇamādāya prāpnosi jaladonnatim|
tasyoparyabudheḥ garjan mālinyasyocitaṁ hi tat||
subhāṣitam||
Somehow, many people tend to shower abuses and insults first and foremost on the ones who were responsible for or have made a major role in ensuring that the once who abuse have reached the position occupied them.. Children abusing parents and elders, the politicians abusing the electorate after the count of votes…. All these are indicative of such attitude..
The subhashitam extracted above too would say that alone
Oh Cloud, you have reached the position of being far above the sea flowing under you just because you took shape by drawing up drops and drops of water that were boiled and drawn up to your body.. And when you are in that position, you are roaring down at the sea.. Indeed, this is the right exhibition of a very dirty mind and attitude..
പലേ വ്യക്തികളും നല്ല സ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ എത്തിയ ശേഷം അവര്‍ക്ക് അവസരം കിട്ടിയാല്‍ ചീത്ത വിളിക്കാന്‍ ആദ്യമായിത്തന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നത് അവരെ ആ നിലയില്‍ എത്തിക്കുവാന്‍ സഹായിച്ചവരെയും, ജീവിതത്തില്‍ നന്മയും സൌഭാഗ്യവും ലഭിക്കാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം കൂട്ട് നിന്നവരെയും ആയിരിക്കും.
മക്കള്‍ അച്ഛനെയും അമ്മയെയും തെറി വിളിക്കുന്നതും വൃദ്ധസദനത്തില്‍ നടതള്ളുന്നതും രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാര്‍ കൈപിടിച്ചുയര്‍ത്തിയ നേതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലു വാരുന്നതും വോട്ടു തന്നു ജയിപ്പിച്ച നാട്ടുകാരെ പറ്റിക്കുന്നതും എല്ലാം സര്‍വ്വസാധാരണമാണല്ലോ
ഈ ശ്ലോകം അത് തന്നെയാണ് പറയുന്നത്.

തസ്യോപര്യംബുധേര്‍ ഗര്‍ജന്‍ മാലിന്യസ്യോചിതം ഹി തത്
സമുദ്രത്തില്‍നിന്നും മറ്റും വെള്ളതുള്ളികള്‍ ആവിയാക്കി വലിച്ചെടുത്ത് ആകാശത്തിന്റെ ഉന്നതിയില്‍ എത്തിയ മേഘമേ, നീ താഴെ ഒഴുകുന്ന സമുദ്രത്തെ നോക്കി അവജ്ഞയോടെ മുരളുന്നു. വൃത്തികെട്ട മനോഭാവത്തിന്‍റെ ശരിയായ ഉദാഹരണം ആണിത്
