The core contents of our traditions and distinctive way of life and spirituality should be carefully maintained..
But then we have to adapt ourselves to the changing trends and try to create the most congenial interface with them
without losing
our identity,
self respect,
and our right to be distinct and dignified..
Often , when the question of adjustment comes, we tend to abandon our our roots completely and adapt to the flashy external things which have not grown roots within us..
If there is a huge growth of leaves, branches and excessive dry contents in a plant or tree, and we have to accommodate other plants nearby too, we should normally prune the plant. or tree. without killing its roots..
Instead, we tend to uproot our own plants to accommodate other growths, and brag about our capacity to adjust..
What is the use of adjustment after we have committed suicide?
