I expressed a view that education should be given and knowledge should be imparted only to receptive and responsive candidates and that knowledge need to be shared where it is not asked for or is not taken note of..
Someone responded that such sharing could indirectly benefit some silent observer..
I beg to disagree..
My take on the issue
I was quoting from a great seer who said knowledge should be imparted to only those who thirst for it...
And no living human being is completely altruistic..
The desire for a little gratitude is inborn..
Some people do things with matching or even better returns in sight..
Some may not be that selfish..
But no one is expected to throw away or scatter to open wind all that he has earned over years of toil and penance..
Of course we are now veering towards an era of
" right to education"
which can mean the teachers beg and run after students asking them to learn..
and the students putting conditions after conditions if they are even to look at a book or a pencil..
That is " wrong (thing happening ) to education"
How do the teacher know that his work and service are being noticed.. ?
And no amount of direct or indirect monetary compensation can match the bounty of knowledge imparted by the teacher..
