When I was trying to underline the importance of living well in the present I received this reply
"Yes... mean to say, even we are living in present, we can't avoid thoughts and anxiety, i believe"
My response to this..
"There is no "We " in that matter.
The entire lifestyle philosophy is meant to enable and equip a person not to waste his life and time in anxieties and worries of the past and for the future.
If you say you cannot avoid anxiety it is your choice.
If you admit defeat even without taking even a single positive step no one can prevent you from getting defeated.
But many can try and succeed fully or partially.
The yoga philosophy, for example, is designed for control or even cessation of thoughts
So do not try to talk for all.
If you say you cannot avoid thoughts of anxiety it is upto you.
If you decide that way even God cannot help you.
And thoughts which are positive need not be avoided.
Nice thoughts run like bright golden threads connecting the past present and the future.
