The enlightened preceptor imparts knowledge to all his disciples alike, irrespective of whether the student is a brilliant one or is very dull intellectually. The lessons or even the capacity or earnestness of the teacher really adds or takes away nothing beyond a certain optimal level from the subject matter of the lesson. The lessons, by themselves do not add either fortune or lack of it to the recipient of the knowledge. However, we see substantial variation in quality of enlightenment received by the individual disciples. While a gem of crystal receives the brilliance of light falling on them and reflect it with greater resplendence, the same light falling on a heap of mud keeps the mud simply dark..
