वृक्षं क्षीणफलं त्यजन्ति विहगाः शुष्कम् सरः सारसाः।
पुष्पं पर्युषितं त्यजन्ति मधुपाः दग्धम् वनान्तं मृगाः॥
निर्द्रव्यं पुरुषं त्यजन्ति गणिका भ्रष्टश्रियं मन्त्रिणः।
सर्वः कार्यवशाज्जनोऽभिरमते कस्यास्ति को वल्लभः॥
vṛkṣaṁ kṣīṇaphalaṁ tyajanti vihagāḥ śuṣkam saraḥ sārasāḥ|
puṣpaṁ paryuṣitaṁ tyajanti madhupāḥ dagdham vanāntaṁ mṛgāḥ||
nirdravyaṁ puruṣaṁ tyajanti gaṇikā bhraṣṭaśriyaṁ mantriṇaḥ|
sarvaḥ kāryavaśājjano'bhiramate kasyāsti ko vallabhaḥ ||

വൃക്ഷം ക്ഷീണഫലം ത്യജന്തി വിഹഗാ: ശുഷ്കം സര: സാരസാ:
പുഷ്പം പര്യുഷിതം ത്യജന്തി മധുപാ: ദഗ്ധം വനാന്തം മൃഗാ:
നിര്ദ്രവ്യം പുരുഷം ത്യജന്തി ഗണികാ ഭ്ര്ശ്ഷ്ടശ്രിയം മന്ത്രിണ:
സര്വ: കാര്യവശാത് ജനോഭിരമതെ കസ്യാസ്തി കോ വല്ലഭ:
No one is having any permanent follower or sponsor. When the fruits in the tree are all eatenup the birds fly away seeking more fruitladen trees. The creanes do not wait up the lakes which are shrinking in water. The flower which has been alive for a day and had given nectar to the honeybee is abandoned at the end of the day. When the wildfire denudes the forests, the animals migrate to greener pasture. The prostitute leaves the moneyless man for ever. The king who has lost his kingdom loses his retinue of advisers, psycophants and ministers. Usually people attach themselves to someone who is affluent only to derive some benefit. Ones the period of productivity is gone man is all alone.
