To incur a bad name, facing calamities, facing situations where anger is so natural and facing ugliness or uncouthness are too frequent in our lives. Sure, we cannot avoid or skirt such situations always. Mahabharatham prescribes some factors that can magnate somewhat the embarrassment and damages that could arise in such situations.

One can reduce the loss of name, fame and popularity and recoup his credibility through humble and modest behaviour

When a person expects or faces dangers or calamities, the best course of action open for him is to stand up and fight bringing to the fore all his valour and initiative.

When exposed to situations that pushes a man persistently to utter rage, the best way to handle the situation is to calm himself, saturating his mind with patience and forbearance.

And

When a person lands up in an environment, that is none too attractive and there is lack of finesse, he can compensate the awkwardness through proper, refined conduct
