अहितहितविचारशून्यबुद्धेः श्रुतिसमयैर्बहुभिर्बहिष्कृतस्य।
उदरभरणमात्रमेव लिप्सोः पुरुषपशोश्च पशोश्च को विशेषः॥
इन्दिस्चे स्प्रुचे ३०४ महासुभाषितत्सञ्ग्रह ४०९९ पञ्चतन्त्रम् हितोपदेशम् गरुडपुराणम्॥
ahitahitavicāraśūnyabuddheḥ śrutisamayairbahubhirbahiṣkṛtasya|
udarabharaṇamātrameva lipsoḥ puruṣapaśośca paśośca ko viśeṣaḥ||

What essentially is the difference between a beast who just moves around in the form of a human being and a beast or animal with no sixth sense
If the man is not capable of discerning between what is beneficial and what is prejudicial to himself and others,
If the man is shirked and avoided by people who follow the rules of Shruti, creeds and tenets and moral codes that are beneficial for the society,
If the man is eve keen and avaricious only to earn money and other means that would fill his stomach and nothing else
(Interestingly this slokam appears in too many places and in too many works and quotes… I just mentioned a few occasions. That is all.)
