पात्रे त्यागी गुणे रागी संविभागी च बन्धुषु।
शास्त्रे बोद्धा रणे योद्धा पुरुषः पञ्चलक्षणः॥

1. The one who is ready to sacrifice in assistance of the right cause or person
2. The one who is partial to noble charectiristics found in othes
3. The one who has the generosity to divide his possessions among his kin
4. The one who has knowledge, is eager to know and is capable of imparting knowledge in various fields of art and scienc
5. The one who is a true and brave fighter when it comes to combats.

ഒരു യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ മനുഷ്യന്റെ അഞ്ചു വിശേഷ ലക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍
1 ഉചിതവും അര്‍ഹാവുമായ വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ ത്യാഗം സഹിക്കന്യുള്ള സന്നദ്ധത
2 മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ഗുണങ്ങള്‍ കാണുമ്പോള്‍ അവരെ വളരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുകയും പൂര്‍ണ്ണമനസ്സോടെ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാനുള്ള മനസ്ഥിതി
3 നല്ല വിധത്തില്‍ നേടിയ സ്വത്തുക്കള്‍ ബന്ധുക്കളോടൊപ്പം പങ്കിട്ടു ജീവിക്കാനുള്ള ആഗ്രഹം
4 കലകളിലും ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളിലും അറിവ്, അറിവ് നേടാനുള്ള ത്വര, നേടിയ അറിവ് മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് പകര്‍ന്നുകൊടുക്കാനുള്ള കഴിവ്
5 യുദ്ധമോ സംഘര്‍ഷമോ വരുമ്പോള്‍ തല ഉയര്‍ത്തിപിടിച്ചു നേരിടാനുള്ള ധൈര്യം

संविभागी willingly share വീതിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്‍

बोद्धा well read, knowledgeable, capable of imparting knowledge
വായന ഉള്ളവന്‍, അറിവ് ഉള്ളവന്‍ അറിവ് പകരാന്‍ കഴിവുള്ളവന്‍
रणे in war, in combat യുദ്ധത്തില്‍, സംഘര്‍ഷം വരുമ്പോള്‍
योद्धा fighter good fighter ചെറുത്തുനില്‍ക്കുന്നവന്‍, പോരാടുന്നവന്‍
