The Dhyaanaslokam for Hemambika or Emooramman of Sekharipuram
शङ्खं चक्रमसिं च चर्मसशरम् चापं गदा शूलकम्
बिभ्राणां वरदाभयामृतघटान् रत्नौघपात्रं तथा।
भूषापिर्मकुटादिभिः त्रिनयनां अम्बां परां देवताम्
ध्यायेत् चन्द्रकलाधरां सुरगणैरीढ्यां जगन्मङ्गलाम्॥
हेमाम्बिका देव्याः ध्यानम्
śaṅkhaṁ cakramasiṁ ca carmasaśaram cāpaṁ gadā śūlakam
bibhrāṇāṁ varadābhayāmṛtaghaṭān ratnaughapātraṁ tathā|
bhūṣāpirmakuṭādibhiḥ trinayanāṁ ambāṁ parāṁ devatām
dhyāyet candrakalādharāṁ suragaṇairīḍhyāṁ jaganmaṅgalām||
hemāmbikā devyāḥ dhyānam
Let us meditate on that Divine Mother, Paradevata
who brings welfare (Mangalam) to the whole universe
who is ever praised by all the divine beings gathered around her.
who wields in her hands Conch, Discus, Sword, Quiver (the bag made of leather which is full of arrows), a bow, a mace,a trident (shooolam), sports Varada and Abhaya mudras, carries a pot filled with nectar(Amrutham), and a (drinking)vessel made of gems, who is decorated with all ornaments and most beautiful headgear, who has three eyes, and who wears the crescent of moon in her hair..
നമുക്ക് ആ പരദേവതയായ അംബയെ ധ്യാനിക്കാം.
അവള് ലോകത്തിനു മുഴുവന് മംഗളം അരുളുന്നു.
അവളുടെ സന്നിധിയില് തിങ്ങിക്കൂടിയ ദേവന്മാര് അവളെ എപ്പോഴും പുകഴ്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
കരങ്ങളില് ശങ്ഖം, ചക്രം, വാള്,അമ്പുകള് നിറച്ച ആവനാഴി, വില്ല്, ഗദ,ശൂലം, വരദമുദ്ര അഭയമുദ്ര, അമൃത കലശം, രത്നനിര്മ്മിതമായ പാത്രം എന്നിവ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
അവള് സര്വാഭരണഭൂഷിതയാണ്.
ഏറ്റവും ഭംഗിയേറിയ അലങ്കാരത്തോടുകൂടിയതാണ് അവളുടെ ശിരസ്സ്..
സൂര്യന്, ചന്ദ്രന്, അഗ്നി എന്ന) മൂന്നു കണ്ണുകളോടെ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന അവള് മുടിയില് ചന്ദ്രക്കല ചൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
