We see such lucky fathers too

धिक् तस्य जन्म यः पित्रा लोके विज्ञायते नरः।
यत् पुत्रात् ख्यातिमभ्येति तस्य जन्म सुजन्मनः॥
मार्कण्डेयपुराणे ९-१०१
dhik tasya janma yaḥ pitrā loke vijñāyate naraḥ|
yat putrāt khyātimabhyeti tasya janma sujanmanaḥ||
mārkaṇḍeyapurāṇe 9-101
--------------------
This is a quote from Markandeya Puranam..
The puranam is a very celebarted scripture in which the story of the Divine mother Durga occurs..
The most sacred text Devi Mahatmyam or Saptashati Chandi.. or Chandi is a part of this puranam ( Chandi is the ultimate in Devi Worship..
The quote above is a secular one..
Nothing to do with worship or rituals.
======================
The life of a person who has to live and thrive on the basis of the name and fame of his father is a wasted life.
But
The life of a father who can live in fame and glory because of the good name and greatness aquired and accumulated by his son is spending a fulfilled and glorious life..
=====================
We see such lucky fathers too
Dasharatha was one.. Rama gave him glory
Even Lord Shiva must have agreed with this.. He has two glorious sons Karthikeya and Ganesha..
Ravanas glory was enhanced by his son Indrajith
And of course this is the dream of every father..
