मा मतिः परदारेषु परद्रव्येषु मा मतिः

मा मतिः परदारेषु परद्रव्येषु मा मतिः।

परापवादिनी जिह्वा माभूदेव कदाचन॥

mā matiḥ paradāreṣu paradravyeṣu mā matiḥ|

parāpavādinī jihvā mābhūdeva kadācana||

The mind should never stray into misplaced desires and romance towards ladies who belong to or are attached to others

The mind should never have any desire for the wealth and possessions that belong rightfully to others

And

The tongue should never engage itself in speaking scandals about others.
