स्वगृहे पूर्ण आचारः परगेहे तदर्धकः

 

स्वगृहे पूर्ण आचारः परगेहे तदर्धकः। तदर्धकः परग्रामे पथि सूत्रवदाचरेत्॥ समयोचितपद्यमालिका

svagṛhe pūrṇa ācāraḥ paragehe tadardhakaḥ| tadardhakaḥ paragrāme pathi sūtravadācaret|| samayocitapadyamālikā

When you are staying in the comfort of your home follow all the rituals threadbare. If you have to stay in another house nearby, reduce the rituals to half. If you stay in another village, reduce it still by half. And while on travel reduce the rituals to the books.
