दृश्यन्ते भुवि भूरिनिंबतरवः कुत्रापि ते चन्दनाः

पाषाणैः परिपूरिता वसुमती वज्रामणिर्दुर्लभः।

श्रूयन्ते करटारवाश्च सततं चैत्रे कुहूकूजितं

तन्मन्ये खलसङ्कुलं जगदिदं द्वित्राः क्षितौ सज्जनाः॥

dṛśyamte bhuvi bhūriniṁbataravaḥ kutrāpi te candanāḥ

paṣāṇaiḥ paripūritā vasumatī vajrāmaṇirdurlabhaḥ|

śrūyante karaṭāravāśca satataṁ caitre kuhūkūjitaṁ

tanmanye khalasaṅkulaṁ jagadidaṁ dvitrāḥ kṣitau sajjanāḥ||

We see a lot of Neem (veppu) trees with bitter leaves and fruits everywhere on the earth..

But the sandalwood trees are rare to see..

The face of the earth abounds in hard rocks, but diamonds are found sparsely indeed..

The cacophony of the cry of crows is an experience round the year but we hear the musical refrain of the cuckoo only in the spring season

Verily the world is filled with ordinary and often evil things and people, but good and noble people are also seen once or twice..

It would seem that the Maker is very choosy in crafting nice, sweet beautiful things.. The materials coming out of the routine production line look just routine.

But it is also true that He does not fail to add some beauty spot even in the most mundane material he created..

If we understand His greatness and try to spot and enjoy such beauty spots.. then we can see greatness everywhere...

भुवि in this earth, in this world

भूरिनिंबतरवः lot of margosa (neem) trees with bitter leaves and fruits

दृश्यन्ते are seen

ते चन्दनाः but those sandal tree

कुत्रापि दृश्यन्ते are seen only in rare places that to sparsely

वसुमती the origin of all wealth.. the earth

पाषाणैः परिपूरिता is filled with hard cheap rocks

वज्रामणिः दुर्लभः it is indeed difficult to see a rock of diamond or gems

सततं करटारवाश्च श्रूयन्ते we hear the crowing of the black crows without break

परन्तु चैत्रे एव कुहूकूजितं but we can hear the sweet refrain from a cuckoo only in the chaitra month which is the peak of spring season तद अहं therefore I

द्वित्राः just two or three

क्षितौ वर्तने are found in this earth

इति च मन्ये .. I do think so..
