वेदमनूच्याचार्योऽन्तेवासिनमनुशास्ति।
सत्यं वद। धर्मं चर। स्वाद्ध्यायान्मा प्रमदः।
आचार्याय प्रियं धनमाहृत्य। प्रजातन्तुं मा व्यवच्छेत्सीः।
सत्यान्न प्रमदितव्यं। धर्मान्न प्रमदितव्यं। कुशलान्न प्रमदितव्यं।
भूत्यै न प्रमदितव्यं। स्वाद्ध्याय प्रवचनाभ्यां न प्रमदितव्यं।
देवपितृकार्याभ्यां न प्रमदितव्यं। मातृदेवो भव। पितृदेवो भव।
आचार्यदेवो भव। अतिथिदेवो भव।
यान्यनवद्यानि कर्माणि तानि सेवितव्यानि। नो इतराणि।
तैत्तरीयोपनिषदे शिक्षाव्ल्ल्यां
vedamanūcyācāryo'ntevāsinamanuśāsti|
satyaṁ vada| dharmaṁ cara| svāddhyāyānmā pramadaḥ|
ācāryāya priyaṁ dhanamāhṛtya| prajātantuṁ mā vyavacchetsīḥ|
satyānna pramaditavyaṁ| dharmānna pramaditavyaṁ| kuśalānna pramaditavyaṁ|
bhūtyai na pramaditavyaṁ| svāddhyāya pravacanābhyāṁ na pramaditavyaṁ|
devapitṛkāryābhyāṁ na pramaditavyaṁ| mātṛdevo bhava| pitṛdevo bhava|
ācāryadevo bhava| atithidevo bhava|
yānyanavadyāni karmāṇi tāni sevitavyāni| no itarāṇi|
taittarīyopaniṣade śikṣāvllyāṁ.
Having taught vedas, the preceptor instructs the student
Speak the truth..
Practice virtue (dharma).
Never neglect the daily study.
Offer dakshina to the satisfaction of the preceptor.
Do not cut off the line of your progeny.
Do not neglect truth.
Do not neglect virtue.
Do not deviate from the path of welfare.
Do not neglect prosperity.
Do not neglect Study and imparting of knowledge.
Do not neglect your duty towards gods and your ancestors.
Regard the mother as your God.
Regard the father as your God.
Regard the preceptor as your God.
Regard your guest as your God.
Only deeds which are blameless are to be practiced.
No other acts should be practiced.
