छायायां पारिजातस्य हेमसिंहासनोपरि
आसीनमम्बुदश्याममायताक्षमलङ्कृतम् ।
चन्द्राननं चतुर्बाहुं श्रीवत्साङ्कित वक्षसं
रुक्मिणी सत्यभामाभ्यां सहितं कृष्णमाश्रये ॥
chāyāyāṃ pārijātasya hemasiṃhāsanopari
āsīnamambudaśyāmamāyatākṣamalaṅkṛtam ।
candrānanaṃ caturbāhuṃ śrīvatsāṅkita vakṣasaṃ
rukmiṇī satyabhāmābhyāṃ sahitaṃ kṛṣṇamāśraye ॥
I depend for my lifelong protection on that Krishna
Who is seated on a throne made of pure gold,
Seated there under the cool shadow of the wish-yielding celestial Parijatha tree of the heaven
Krishna who is having very wide eyes,
Krishna who has decorated himself attractively,
Krishna who is having a face resembling the full moon,
Krishna who shines with four hands. Krishna, whose beauty is enhanced by the birthmark Sreevatsa adorning his chest,
Krishna who is having a body colour that would exactly match the blue-black colour of the rain cloud,
and who is giving audience in the company of his beloved consorts Rukmini and Sayabhama.
अहं I पारिजातस्य छायायां in the shadow of the celestial wish yielding parijatha tree हेम सिम्हासनोपरि on a throne made of pure gold आसीनं seated आयताक्षं having wide eyes अलङ्कृतं having adorned or decorated himself nicely चन्द्राननं having a face as bright as (full)moon चतुर्बाहुं having four hands श्रीवत्स अङ्कित वक्षसं having the attractive birthmark Sreevatsam on his chest अम्बुद श्यामं having the bluish black colour of dark cloud रुक्मिणी सत्यभामाभ्यां सहितं in the company of his consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama कृष्णं आश्रये depend for protection on that Krishna

ഞാന് എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിനും സംരക്ഷണത്തിനും വേണ്ടി ആ കൃഷ്ണനെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു
സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ആശിച്ചതെല്ലാം ഭക്തര്ക്ക് നല്കുന്ന കല്പകവൃക്ഷമായ പാരിജാതത്തിന്റെ തണലില്, തനിത്തങ്കം കൊണ്ട് നിര്മിച്ച സിംഹാസനത്തില് ആസനസ്ഥനായ കൃഷ്ണന്
വളരേ വിടര്ന്ന കുസൃതിത്തരം നിറഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകളുള്ള കൃഷ്ണന്
എല്ലാ അലങ്കാരവസ്തുക്കളും ഭംഗിയായി അണിഞ്ഞ കൃഷ്ണന്
മുഴു നിലാവ് പോലെ തിളങ്ങുന്ന മുഖമുള്ള കൃഷ്ണന്
നാല് തൃക്കൈകളോടെ എഴുന്നള്ളുന്ന കൃഷ്ണന്
അഭൌമമായ സ്വന്തം സൌന്ദര്യത്തിനു മാറ്റുകൂട്ടുന്ന ശ്രീവത്സം എന്ന മറുക് മാറി ധരിക്കുന്ന ആയ ഭുവനസുന്ദരന്
പൊഴിയാന് വെമ്പി നില്ക്കുന്ന കാര്മേഘം പോലെ കറുത്ത നിറം കൊണ്ട ശരീരത്തോടെ തിളങ്ങുന്ന കൃഷ്ണന്
തന്റെ ഹൃദയേശ്വരിമാരായ രുക്മിണിയോടും സത്യഭാമയോടും ഒത്ത് ദര്ശനം നല്കുന്ന കൃഷ്ണന്
