We have made religions in His name, but He has no religion

One very young friend was seeking my advice as to what would be a plan for life..My simplistic response I share here too.. maybe a reminder to myself..
( it is funny.. I am not anyone capable of giving any advice.. I am just a floating log thrown hither and thither in the flow of a wild stream that is time...)
"After all anyone, a boy or a middle aged man or an old man, should just live in a way he is in sync with his knowledge and dreams, and the practical world outside too..
We should be happy and at the same time we should keep restraint so that others do not get unhappy or irritated with us..
And chance comes only very few times in life.. so we should be prepared to grab the chances and make the best of what we have..
As youngster, you will have many chances to compete for better positions..
Never think that any competition is beyond your capacity..
If you prepare earnestly, and if you qualify for better positions, it is great..
Even if you are not lucky to get all that you wanted, still it is okay..
The knowledge you acquired for competition will remain with you then too and would stand you in good stead in the long years of real life..
And there is only one medicine for all uncertainties in life..Faith in God..
You can talk of liberalism, socialism, rationalism and all.. but when you really feel at a loss and you are all alone, the only one who can see you through is God.. and I call Him Krishna, but He has so many forms, and so many names.
We have made religions in His name, but He has no religion..
He is above all religions.."
