एवं लोकस्तुल्यधर्मो

कः कं शक्तो रक्षितुं मृत्युकाले रज्जुच्छेदे के घटं धारयन्ति।

एवं लोकस्तुल्यधर्मो वनानां काले काले रुह्यते छिद्यते च॥

स्वप्नवासवदत्ते॥

kaḥ kaṁ śakto rakṣituṁ mṛtyukāle rajjucchede ke ghaṭaṁ dhārayanti|

evaṁ lokastulyadharmo vanānāṁ kāle kāle ruhyate chidyate ca||

svapnavāsavadatte||

Things look very safe and secure at times. All the people feel comfortable too. Then some calamity beyond our control occurs and things turn haywire.

Who on earth would be able to save a person whose time for death has come.

Who can keep in place a pot or bucket (used to draw water) once the rope attached to it is severed ?

By the same logic, the fate of this world is equal and would compare well with the fate of the forest, the forest grows and flourishes, then the trees get cut or destroyed. Yet again the trees grow and get cut too. The cycle continues and no one can explain the phenomenon.
