दैवे पुरुषकारे च कर्मसिद्धिर्व्यवस्थिता

अभिमतिसिद्धिरसेषा भवति हि पुरुषस्य पुरुषकारेण॥पचतन्ते॥

abhimatisiddhiraseṣā bhavati hi puruṣasya puruṣakāreṇa|pacatante||

एवं पुरुषकारेण विना दैवं न सिद्ध्यति॥ पञ्चतन्त्रे

दैवे पुरुषकारे च कर्मसिद्धिर्व्यवस्थिता॥याज्ञवल्क्य॥

evaṁ puruṣakāreṇa vinā daivaṁ na siddhyati|| pañcatantre

daive puruṣakāre ca karmasiddhirvyavasthitā|jājñavalkya||

Our fond desires which we are always waiting to fulfil would turn in to reality only through concerted planning and hard work that are to be put in place in the right way by human beings.

However, favourable results matching the human enterprise would happen only if luck, serendipity, is in our favour.

Therefore the success of any action depends both on human action and luck or divine intervention.
