प्रियप्राया वृत्तिर्विनयमधुरो वाचि नियमः प्रकृत्या कल्याणीमतिरनवगीतः परिचयः |

पुरो वा पश्चाद्वा तदिदमविपर्यासितरसं रहस्यं साधूनामनुपधि विशुद्धं विजयते ||

priyaprāyā vṛttirvinayamadhuro vāci niyamaḥ prakṛtyā kalyāṇī matiranavagītaḥ paricayaḥ |

puro vā paścādvā tadidamaviparyāsitarasam rahasyam sādhūnāmanupadhi viśuddham vijayate ||

The eternal secret of the inherent greatness of noble persons is that

They have a soft and amiable disposition, with speech tempered by restraint and concern for others and full of humility and sweetness, a mind which is pure, straightforward and ever virtous by nature, a friendship which is never tainted by ill will or selfishness.. This is the essence of their nobility which remains the same, which remains pure in every step, as it was in the past, and continues to be the same in the present and would remain so in future too. Victory to that benevolent character of the great men.

പ്രിയപ്രായാ വൃത്തിര്‍വിനയമധുരോ വാചി നിയമഃ।

പ്രകൃത്യാ കല്യാണി മതിരനവഗീതഃ പരിചയഃ।

പുരോ വാ പശ്ചാദ്വാ തദിദമവിപര്യാസിതരസം

രഹസ്യം സാധൂനാമനുപദി വിശുദ്ധം വിജയതേ॥

മഹാന്മാരുടെ നൈസര്‍ഗികമായ ഓന്നത്യത്തിന്‍റെ രഹസ്യം ഇതാണ്.

ആര്‍ദ്രവും ഏറെ സൌഹാര്‍ദ്ദപരവും ആയ പെരുമാറ്റം. മറ്റുള്ളവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള കരുതലും അതില്‍ നിന്നും ഉടലെടുക്കുന്ന ആത്മനിയന്ത്രണവും അതെ കാരണം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രകടമാവുന്ന വിനയവും മാധുര്യവും നിറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകള്‍, വക്രതകള്‍ തൊട്ടുതീണ്ടാത്ത, സ്വാഭാവികമായി തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധവും നന്മ മാത്രം നിറഞ്ഞതുമായ മനസ്സ്, കളങ്കമില്ലാത്ത, സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥത ഒരിക്കലും കാണാന്‍ സാധ്യമല്ലാത്ത വിധം പരിശുദ്ധമായ സൗഹൃദം .. ഈ സ്വഭാവം മഹാന്മാര്‍ എന്നും വച്ച് പുലര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്നും നാളെയും അതിനു ഒരു മാറ്റവും ഉണ്ടാവുകയും ഇല്ല. അത്തരം മഹത്തുക്കളും അവരുടെ സ്വഭാവവൈഷിഷ്ട്യവും എന്നും വിജയിക്കട്ടെ.
