God definitely is not an idiot. He knows where to draw a line. The best of the managers on earth are struggling to keep order in respect of a handful number of people or situations supposedly under their control. However, the Master manages the whole universe and more without any flaw. Therefore, He must be capable of evaluating, balancing and thereafter attending to the prayers, demands, claims and entreaties originating from us. For a believer, the solemn belief and Faith is that God is always just and fair. Our claims and prayers are often similar to the mercy petitions to the Governor or the President by people who have been received punishment of death. We are applying to the Supreme one to have mercy, and to commute the ultimate punishment. The one who prays has only the right and choice to pray. If a person demands that his prayer requires mandatory consideration, and that he should get a decree as per his own wish, then he is just an idiot.
We seem to think that God is also an idiot just because we see so many idiots around, even among believers. It is not Gods fault.
In addition, we should never mix up prayers, spirituality etc., with superstitions.
Conducting of a pooja or japam may help us only if there is no detriment inuring to anyone else when God answers such entreaties.
Of course, God is merciful. We kick and berate our mother or father and then go to them and they accept us. God also will do that because He is father and mother to all of us. But neither the parents nor the God are fools.
Even a man with average intelligence knows it when there is duplicity, honey on lips and venom on heart. Do you think God will not spot it?
