Dangers and threats, should be nipped in the bud.. The challenges arising may be very tiny.. The diseases or aberrations to health might appear in a very minor way..
But if we do not attend to such issues and find proper remedies as early as possible, the issues can grow into huge affairs and no rescue or remedy would be possible at that time..
Prevention is always better than cure..
This idea is underlined in the Sanskrit couplet found in the compilation Bhojaparabhandam of poet Bhallaala..
Meaning
------------
If a person does not take care to pacify or prevent or vanquish a disease or an enemy at the time when such disease or enmity is born.. or even a trace of them is appearing, then it is danger for him>
The petty maladies or the trifling enemies would grow with time and when they have grown considerably, they may turn against us and kill us..
------------
It is a simple fact.. Some attention is all that is needed.
But most often we overlook trifling issues.. we postpone attending to them to some future date.. and by that time the issue overtakes us..
