It is easy to preach.
It is easy to quote from great authors and intellectuals.
We really do not and and we are not sure whether those who preached practiced even a little of their stuff.
In addition, we do not know whether the authors and intellectuals lived according to their own views and principles enunciated by them.
When we see the behaviour of all around us including ourselves, we cannot fail to note the huge gap between what we preach, what we say and what we do.
Similar may be the case with earlier authors and preachers too.
Anyway, good things are nice to read, nice to hear.
