may be there are many snakes who feast on frogs but Sesha alone can carry the earth

अनेके फणिनः सन्ति भेकभक्षण तत्पराः।

एक एव हि शेषोऽयं धरणीधरनक्षमः॥

सुभाषितरत्नावली

aneke phaṇinaḥ santi bhekabhakṣaṇa tatparāḥ।

eka eva hi śeṣo'yaṃ dharaṇīdharanakṣamaḥ॥

subhāṣitaratnāvalī

Indeed, innumerable snakes who make sumptuous supper of frogs ptoliferate the face of the earth. However, there exists only one snake Adhisesha, who has the capacity to carrythe earth on his hood forever.
