वदन्तु शास्त्राणी यजन्तु देवान् कुर्वन्तु कर्माणि भजन्तु देवान्।

आत्मैक्यबोधेन विनापि मुक्तिर्नसिध्यति ब्रह्मशतान्तरेपि॥

विवेकचूडामणि

vadantu śāstrāṇī yajantu devān kurvantu karmāṇi bhajantu devān।

ātmaikyabodhena vināpi muktirnasidhyati brahmaśatāntarepi॥ 

vivekacūḍāmaṇi

Let one talk aloud and give discourses on Shastras, let him do make fire oblations or offer ritualistic worship to gods or follow the path of karma. Still if he has not realized the ultimate unity of the individual, the jeeva, and the supreme soul or paramatma ,he would not attain moksham even after living thousand time the life span of Brahma.
