यस्य दानजितं मित्रं शत्रवो युधि निर्जिताः।
अन्नपानजिताः दाराः सफलं तस्य जीवितम्॥
इन्दिश्चे स्प्रूचे २४३१ महाभारते॥
yasya dānajitaṁ mitraṁ śatravo yudhi nirjitāḥ|
annapānajitāḥ dārāḥ saphalaṁ tasya jīvitam||
indiśce sprūce 2431 mahābhārate||
If a person has attained affluence of the level where he can always keep his friends pleased and devoted to him through various gifts and other material assistance
If a person has garnerd sufficient power applying which has has annihilated or repulsed all his enemies in fights and wars
If a person is having a household where his family and dependends need not want deficiency in the matter of food and drinks
Then his life is accomplished.. Indeed his life has been well lived.
A point of view asserted in the epic Mahabharatham
𝓚 𝓥 𝓐𝓝𝓐𝓝𝓣𝓗𝓐𝓝𝓐𝓡𝓐𝓨𝓐𝓝𝓐𝓝
यस्य whose मित्रं friends दानजितं are won over by gifts, are greatly pleased with him about the way he gives them bounteous gifts and are always favourably inclined to him वर्तते remain यस्य whose शत्रवो enemies युधि in battle निर्जिताः have been entirely defeated भवन्ति are यस्य whose दाराः wives.. dependents, ladies of the house.. (this is not canvassing or campaigning for multiple wives.. the society gents often had more than one wife in Mahabharatha times.. especially people of the warrior class) अन्न पान food and drinks or beverages जिताः are pleased, satisfied with constant bounteous supply and suppelementing वर्तन्ते remain तस्य जीवितं his life सफलं हि is indeed accomplished.
